if you do not mind my asking, what are "regents", are they just like the equivalent to "final exams"?

I also wanted to thank you because a really long time ago you reccomended the book "Sloppy Firsts" to me and I read it and it's like my favorite book ever. I'm reading the sequel now and it's great.

regents are finals, but they are all done up by new york state so everyone has the same test. and you've got to pass all the required ones to graduate. they're generally not that hard to pass, but it's hard to get an A or an A+.
