I'm more of a video game player but there should always be a good selection of pinball stuff. One of the drive in theaters here (yes, we have more than one that's still running!) had a High Speed machine and a Bezerk arcade game but both are out of order now.
It's hard when you try to grow the base of something just to survive but that also means letting in people can ruin the moment or mood of a good time.
It really is about growing to survive... there was a year that the event wasn't run due to a variety of issues. They moved the venue during the gap. The video game stuff really seemed to grow after the venue changed. Still, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. It isn't just called the Midwest Pinball Convention. ;}
And don't get me wrong, I love video games, too. I'm currently addicted to Persona 4. :D

Chicago also has Pinball Expo in October. Peter and I have been to that one... two or three years ago, I think it was.
