I got pretty much sweet f##k-all done this weekend. Friday, nminusone and I revived the old "Chinese takeout and a movie" date night, hooked up the laptop to the TV, and watched "The Core" courtesy of Netflix streaming. there's just something in the back of my brain saying that [climbing over the balcony rail] would be an intense experience, and don't I want to try it?

i occasionally have to repress the urge to swan-dive off said balcony, for the exact same reason. it's pretty intense just looking around up there; i can only imagine what falling would be like. that whole landing part, though... that would suck. good thing the rational part of my brain remembers that.

The Core is one of my guilty pleasures. That's not to say I've actually gone over the deep end and -purchased- the damned thing. I think even Costco wouldn't stoop that low.

I'm also amused that The Core is almost always on folks top lists of movies when citing Bad Science (eg here). But hey, it's brain-melty fun!
