Did that have to be an either/or?

one of mine *reads* (albeit at a rudimentary level, fancy phonics are a bit much for his wee brain meats). I am grateful that my pets can be reasoned with (well, as much as you could reason with a toddler, really, but there is reasoning to be had to that small degree).

I don't know where this style of pet-talk originates, but it's infected me too, even without the presence of cats.

"Who's a rat? Are you a rat? Are you?? Oh so cute ratty rat."

"Who's a lizardy lizard?!"

Where's the option for "I have no pets, as the god damn robotic velociraptors seem to have an inability to walk properly, so where's the fun in that?"

(Though I predict hilarity now that there's a Kinect SDK out. Roombas will never be the same... I'll name it Skippy.)

There is an option for that.

Yes, today I repeatedly said to Ivy the work-place kitty, "Bad kitty. Bad, bad kitty." She left the building on Thursday which wouldn't have been so bad if she had a cell phone so I could call or text her to let her know I was leaving and that she would be locked out if she didn't get her ass back before 5pm. Instead, I had to put up Lost Kitty signs all over the neighborhood. Bad kitty!
