Oooh, yum!

Just as an FYI, a FoodSaver works great for marinading stuff, especially if you do it for long periods of time - you can get all the air out easily and it helps the spices & liquid get deep inside the meat.

I got one for the wedding last year. I've had to have it replaced once because something weird went flooey and the customer service is great. Just in case anyone is considering one. ;-)

It was delicious. The potatoes were a waxy red-skinned golden variety (can't remember the name right now), so they didn't fall to mush in the CrockPot the way baking potatoes would've done.

The way ours works, 4 hours and 6 hours are considered "high," and 8 hours and 10 hours are considered "low."

Got any beer on hand you'd be willing to sacrifice to the cause? Or ... hmm. Beef broth or stock?

Trying to think if there's anything else. The main goal I had in mind was to keep things from burning, and to add a little flavor to the party.
