So you can choke on your veto, frog, says the England-in-Belgium's-head. The exact wording of France's please die, Angleterre escapes her, but then France's rhetoric was always trickier.
This line made me laugh.
This was really pretty and flowed nicely and I liked it a lot :)
I hoped when I saw the timestamp you were using this topic. <3 Lovely and poetic, and I liked how the mudane details of breakfast and the important details of history mix together so seamlessly. Beautiful work with all the visual imagery - most authors neglect that, and it's always a delight when somebody takes time to make the visuals so clear.
If canon!Belgium turns out to be anything like your Belgium I will be incredibly happy. I love all the things that she doesn't say, and the mentions of the gifts that everyone else has given her, and the weirdly tense bits about Germany now and then. And really, that's an astonishing balancing act to pull off, there.
Basically I want to make waffles with Belgium and Germany now too. I won't even care if there's too much flour. ♥

I'm not quite sure what to say; but the way you write is amazing. I really crave present tense, since I can't do it for the life of me.
