What stirs memories for you guys? I'm always interested in what brings back a memory. For me it's most often smells. And it happens at odd times, this remembering thing. In fact, it's about as close to reliving as I can get

Diesel fuel. I love the smell of it - it's also full of lead, explains a LOT about my brain. I grew up at a hotel in a marina so this (plus the scent of salt air and, not as nice, low tide) are childhood memory triggers. Good ones. :)

Something someone says often conjures up memories. Oddly enough, my dreams do too. I'll have a dream where someone I knew and haven't even thought about in ages shows up, and when I remember the dream in the morning, the real memories of that person come with it. Like "oh that person, I haven't seen them since ___...that was a good time."
