After a scrumptious brunch at the Cafe at the Louisville Antique Mall, Chris and I  headed downtown to the Bunberry for Pandora Productions(pandoraprods.org) latest offering, Some Men by Terrence McNally.  Papaw begged off because he was sick, so it was just Chris and I. Not that I missed him, but I had hoped to brag about something I was hoping ( Read more... )

Chris has headed to bed and since I am not sleepy and the computer is in my room, I thought I'd go ahead and post a bit.

Today on the way to pride Chris played Dolly Parton's newest cd, Backwoods Barbie and the title track has received  the "My new favorite Dolly Song" award.

Pride was a lot of fun.  We're back now for dinner and more movies.  Maybe we will go to Woody's to play pool later.  I suck at it but enjoy it as long as I am not playing  someone really good. More when I return home.

Chris is taking Alfie out once more before we head downtown to the festival.  It promises to be a pleasant day.  Not too hot and the rain has headed somewhere else. The review of the play in the LEO( a weekly entertainment newspaper) has gotten me really excited about seeing it.

Ijust finished my last shift of the  week at the store. Now all i have to do is throw a few more things in my bag and I'll be ready to hea dto Louisville in the morning... forgetting Waldenbooks and Volunteer State Community College even exist. Given my introspective mood since I posted my coming out story last week, I dug through some old files and found a series of poems I wrote several years ago, 1995-96 I think, that I called Notes from the Closet.
