I am glad to know I'm not the only one who likes the metal drilling. Lathes make LOTS of shiny little metal chips!!!

Drilling some of those holes took a long time. When you do a large dia hole in metal you have to run the drill really slowly. It feels like you just want someone else to hold the drill while you go get coffee or check email or something.
