I can't agree more about the comments regarding Merlin and Morgana. He should've wiped the floor with her, but choose to do nothing. Where is the badass Merlin who killed Nimueh without a second thought? The reviewer is right when they say 'Merlin kill Morgana and then get on with the rest of the story'. Even last week's episode with Uther showed that Morgana is not necessary to the series. It's a shame that Katie's character has now become a bland boring 2D baddie that keeps playing the same record over and over again...
The badass Merlin of s1 doesn't fit tptb's plans for the show. If you think about it, this series instead of Merlin being more badass, they're pushing Arthur as the Amazing Hero of Awesomeness. I know special effects cost much more than a swordfight, but this show was supposed to be about Merlin, not Arthur. And Arthur is like the only character in the center of every story.
am too tired to write a comment so i wrote one and am just posting it to different places.everything that was good in the first 2 ep are gone,morgana had a cause i could believe in bringing back the old religion but now she is back to i want the throne with plans that are so stupid they make no sense,why not just kill Arthur once you have him out of Camelot with just a handful of night ,its not like you cant overpower them with magic ,so what the logic. Gwen is back to being pretty ,seen and not heard,yes its great she did question the kings motive but we did not get to hear her opinion. they want us to believe this marriage is very perfect in fact the whole relationship selling point as always been that of perfection so why is Arthur lying to Gwen ,twice now he as lied either by omission going to raise his father spirit without telling her or flat out lying when asked if this was revenge ,so are we supposed to ignore this?.am such a cold blanket,do i expect too much from this show?. i thought this episodes would have worked two ways
