Thanks for the screencaps. The trailer moved so quickly it was a bit hard to work out exactly what was going on. Nice to see Arthur has at least one scene this year where he's not wearing chainmail, lol. Looking forward to finding out why Percival is running around a cave without a top on!

The Arthur/Gwen picture is lovely - hope they release more like that soon!

I like that there are scenes with ONLY Arthur & Merlin. I hope this is not the end of them. I'm also pleased that Gwen is not at the round table when the chandelier drops down. If Merlin is not part of it, I cannot see why she should be there all the time.

Actually, Gwen is there. It's because she's the queen of the entire land that she's there.

I understand you are Gwen's fan and would love to see her there, but she is not, she is there on the first round table shot and not in the second. Also, she would not be a Queen and in fact she would not be even alive if not for Merlin. So, I really believe that Merlin has as good right as Gwen to be sitting at the table & not standing miles away from it ( again first shot, he is not there in the second one). More than that, I have hard time believing that someone who spent all her life cleaning the castle & changing sheets all over sudden has this knowledge to rule a land. This is not Gwen's problem, obviously, but the creators.

Merlin would not be alive if not for Gwen sneaking that flower out of the dungeon in S1E4, way back when so I'm gonna say that they're even. I don't understand the need to compare and contrast Merlin's place in Arthur's life with Gwen's. Gwen is Arthur's queen, his wife and the ruler of his land after him. He chose her over everybody else to be the person he shares his life with. Period. Merlin is his manservant/unofficial advisor, so their positions cannot be the same. They're different and it's not a bad thing.

Monarchs are not born to rule either, they're taught everything they need to know to rule, and Gwen has as mjuch aptitude for learning as anybody else, so I don't see how her beginnings hinder her in any way. On the contrary, she comes from the people so she knows their struggles and is more apt to rule over them, as she can relate. Besides, as we have seen with Arthur, becoming King is an on-the-job training, so I have no doubt that Gwen will rise up to the challenge.

That's a new dress on Gwen we haven't seen before!

I thought the SDCC trailer was more exciting, though. I was hoping they'd have a few new scenes in this trailer but also not really.

Can't wait for S5.

Yay! It's really well done, that trailer with this song especially. A lot of energy. It will be so good to see Merlin and Arthur again!

So excited about that too! First shot of the married couple other than the coronation. Sweet.

Looks like plenty of good Arthur and Merlin scenes if the trailer means anything. And yes, good to see Arthur out of his chainmail, though I guess he'll never dress as elaborately as Uther did. I LOVED Uther's kingly garments and chains and all. I do like the queen's new clothes and I like it that they're right for her, as Morgana's gowns were right for her. She too looks fantastic for S5. That is a gorgeous shot of Katie. She really looks the part.

I really like this picture because Arthur actually looks like he's into Gwen. I remember when the promo pictures for Queen of Hearts came out and Bradley looked so bored and nhft, you know? Here he makes Arthur look happy.

And of course he is happy and they are now happy married couple without that horrible stress they always had. I see contentment as much as anything on this one and that's a good thing for the actors and the king and queen and the show. Who knows what was going on at the time of that Queen of Hearts photoshoot. Actors have bad days and times like the rest of us ( ... )
