D: Lamia was terrible! I have a bad feeling about this.

'Lamia' and 'Lancelot Du Lac' were both rather terrible, I tend to mainly blame the writers for that tbh. And I haven't been overly impressed by Merlin season openers in general (not a fan of double episodes, somehow many TV shows fail at making good 2-parters). I really liked 'The Secret Sharer' tho.

Ditto and I hope it'll stay like that. I don't think I could deal with an episode even worse than that one. :(

Gary Lewis was just amazing in that episode, he made me cry, too! *sobs* I'm waiting for the day Merlin will ask Alator of the Catha to come to Camelot (even if it's only in my head canon).

Hm, 4.07 was the best out of those 3. In fact I loved it. All the M/A interaction and that waking up scene was brilliant. 4.08 and 4.09 were horrible, but as Gealach said it could be more down to writers. Also if you ask the cast the 8 & 9 were their all time favorits ;). Whatever rocks your boat as Mr. Morgan says.

Lamia and Lancelot du Lac were horrible. Really horrible.
But it is amusing that everyone one on here seems to agree on that.

Well if it is because of the writers, then we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Episodes 1-3 of the 4th series were absolutely amazing, so... fingers crossed.

Not good news in my book. I disliked all those 3 episodes to a degree - 7 was more than usually disjointed and with plot holes a-plenty ie. illogical, 8 was far too slow and ponderous and did not manage to mix the horror/dark elements well with the humour it tried to inject here and there, and 9 is the Worst Episode Of All Of Merlin in my book, and an episode I will never watch again willingly. Mostly the fault with all this should be placed at the writers' feet obviously, but the directing choices seemed none too stellar.
