It sounds as if it could be fun and I'm certainly going to watch it, but I am still "mourning Merlin" and this won't replace it.

I'm a bit surprised they acknowledged that people were still mourning Merlin!

RT had a poor attitude to Merlin altogether. It appeared that the reviewers had not actually watched it. - Repeatedly referring to the 'boy' wizard and 'prince' Arthur long after Merlin was adult and Arthur was King. The magazine published the wrong photos for the series they transmitted and made carping comments. "Merlin" never made the front cover after S1, unlike Dr Who which regularly appeared each series. The editorial team just could not believe it when Colin won the NT award and only belatedly seem to realise what a photogenic group of young actors there were with the post S5 photo shoot - for which we are very grateful!

Seriously, this is called promotion? Such a strange article. After the J's have been going on about it darker, she's talked about it being light and fluffy.

If I read anything else about this new Merlin that's not Merlin, my eyes will roll out if their sockets. And NO my 13 year old daughter will not be watching Jason's pecs, nor the camera lingering over his naked body, nor my feminist husband (what - no comment about " something for the dad's this time?) Actually I'm not too sure what she means by feminist husband, does she mean there will be BAMF and Boobs?, or, actual, you know, equality?

The humour sounds more cringeworthy than laughter inducing - but, nothing says darker more than a monster trying to bite somebodies bum!.

Judging by their past work, no feminist anybody will appreciate anything about this show. I think we watched Merlin despite the horrendous misogyny, not for its "feminism".

And as for the pillow trick, sorry, been there already...Jack Donnelly's not unattractive, but he's no Bradley James.

PS it looks like another Merlin snap moment is coming up - a cushion to cover Jason's blushes! Surely they could have used something else to be original!

I will be watching as well but I'm still mourning Merlin. After first I found their condescending comment rather funny but on a reread, was not so pleased. Idiots.

At least they recognize that people are still unhappy about Merlin ending.

"13 year-old boys and their dads will be smitten with Atlantis’ glamorous princess Ariadne. Mums and feminist dads will be pleased she’s not just a pretty face."

Sounds like S1-2 Morgana before she was reduced to a one dimensional villain
