CultBox: 'Atlantis' set visit reportThere’s no denying the commitment, and the money, the BBC have invested in the show. The sprawling warehouse that is home to the sets and production base is so big that some members of the crew navigate it on Segways and bicycles. And there’s secrecy too. We’re forbidden even from tweeting that we’re here.

I think I will watch it for couple of episodes to decide whether like this show or not. I understand the cast and crew all work very hard on this (though I am no big fan of the 2 J.).
BTW, I like the guy play the PYTHAGORAS and one picture him with the lead Jason. But I am not quite sure on the triangle thing. I have serious doubt on Herculas.

Mark Addy was wonderful in the 'Full Monty'. Do watch that, if you get the chance - both sad and funny!

I know him and I remember a lot about this Full Monty (and the implied relationship with that guy with the big one, lol). What I have doubts is whether this version of Herculas is a good idea and what's his role in the show and the triangle thing. I think the producers want to create another anti-trandition and shocking version like the Gwen in Merlin (but I am not sure it is a good case in either show).

I will watch but knowing how it all ends, I won't give them my heart. Sounds like it should be fun, though.

Interesting that they are using caves in Bristol. I guess the Clearwell caves are too Merlin iconic? Or maybe they are just closer to the studios.

It seems that they filmed in the Forest of Dean.

I wouldn't be at all surprised. It's very good for generic forest scenes.

What really worked on Merlin and made fans like myself love it and stick with it was the cast's talent and charm (both on and off screen). DESPITE what Capps and Murphy were doing, the cast elevated the show and convinced me to stay. I don't think Capps and Murphy understand that, so I cannot see the lessons they pull from Merlin being good ones. Also, after the way Merlin ended, many Merlin viewers like myself are once bitten twice shy.

I will happily follow and support the projects of all the Merlin cast members. However,I will not become invested in another project of Capp and Murphy.
