I didn't like that one either. Though I think it wasn't a goblet but one of Arthur's bracers? Not as heavy as a goblet but absolutely unnecessary that Arthur threw it. I guess the sound department overdid it and made it sound like a very heavy goblet. The bracer's actually not quite as massive and 'bounces off' Merlin's shoulder but that doesn't make it o.k. that Arthur threw something at Merlin nonetheless...
Yes, it's a mix of Valiant and Lancelot but the best so far *nods*

Your probably right that the sound department overdid it. I've rewatched it without sound and it doesn't make me cringe and say "ouch" the same way it does with sound, but still, if that's the producer's idea of friendship, it's kind of weird (I loved the last scene though with Merlin and Arthur shoving each other).
And I love Gwain!
but the goblet? probably the worst thing Arthur's done to Merlin :(
