Lately a group of us have been getting our thrills by freeing prisoners from Halvung. When we tell people about it usually the response is people saying that they've always wanted to try it too! Well, after doing it a few times, I don't think it's difficult, but there's a pile of information to dig up

FFXIclopedia - I usually say that I don't trust Wiki further than I can toss it, but it did get me started on finding which mobs dropped the Halvung Brass Key.

The wiki is only as useful as the people contributing to it! This is a great guide, and people on all servers could benefit from it. Putting it there would help everyone out.

You can put it up there if you want! And while you're at it remove the RNG guide because it is a pack of lolwtf! :3 I'm a bit unhappy with the second Halvung map because my Photoshop skills are lacking. I know in my mind what the map is doing, but conveying that clearly is difficult for me >.>;

I've been thinking of some points I should add to clarify things a bit. (Like that the prisoner will warp themselves the moment the cell door is open, you don't have to do anything else.) And I wish I had a better list of keydroppers... =.=a

I may, though I don't know if I'll ever get bored enough. I'd have to edit it heavily as I'm a stickler for the "formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article" (or however the big Wiki phrases it).

also omg the guides there are pretty awful, for the most part. For hard information about quests, assaults, missions, etc I find it to be the best resource we have. Somepage's information is still typically pretty anemic (though better now that it has commenting) and Alla's signal:noise is terrible.

And on that note, have you done the Wondering Minstrel quest? I have talked to the bard, everyone in the tavern, and the guy in Jeuno, and they won't give it to me. The bard just asks how I like his singing. There's only like 5 non-AF, non-trial weapon quests left for me to do in Windurst, so it's not a fame issue... this has been bugging me :
