Queer Central is at the Sly Fox on Enmore rd. It's got a variety of drag shows and such like and is a bit more on the alternative side.
The Bank Hotel (a few doors up from Newtown station) Is also a wednesday night affair, but caters for a much more um... commercial crowd?
Gurlesque, the lezzo stripjoint is a bit of a garunteed winner. Held every few months there just happens to be one this sunday at Hermann's Bar, Sydney Uni, City Road.
Then there's your bigger parties which are more special events that'll take over an oxford st club for a night. Eg, Bitch, Cherry, Lickacicious (who the hell came up with that name?) and Moist, and probably a few more. From the best of my knowlege, these are heaps more of a younger commercial crew, or at least they were the few I've been to.
Alternatively theres various more underground stuff that goes on at various warehouse spaces in the word-of-mouth kinda way.
Sydney has no 7 day a week predominantly lesbian venue. Which is ridiculously lame.
Hey sorry for the late answer. Thanks for the list! I was wondering are any of these nights on Friday or Saturday? I work all week, Fri and Sat are pretty much the only times I have for going out...
Hey nevermind I found out the dates. I also found this:
Girlz Spot (at T2) Girlz Spot is a new venture at T2 in the Taylor Square Hotel (launched March, 2008) It's a full-time lesbian bar, 7 days a week... the only one of its kind in Sydney! On Friday and Saturday nights it's lots of hip hop and r'n'b.
