Tutorial: Animated Snow

I will be teaching you how I make my snow-animations.
I didn't invent this technique! It's something I picked up along the way, and maybe have given my personal twist to ^_^

I found a tutorial like this one for icons. I tired it out but my PhotoShop and Image Ready don't let me use keyboard short cuts and I couldn't figure out how to move the layer down in Image Ready. I just really need a new computer. Perhaps one without such a sensitive touch pad. My palm lightly touches it while I'm typing and my cursor jumps up a few lines.

If I'm not mistaken, the inability to use keyboard shortcuts in Photoshop CS was a result of using a pirated copy of the software. It was a known issue with the pirate copy which was never fixed.

Not that I'm assuming you have a pirate copy, but if by any chance you do, getting a legitimate copy of it, will allow you to do this tutorial and others at as well as improve your overall workflow within Photoshop.

I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't use the keyboard in tandem with the mouse in Photoshop. I think I'd just go insane.

I'd love a legitimate copy of PS but where I don't have any income what so ever it's rather hard to archive. Once I am working I'll probably save up for it. But it is still a rather expensive program.

I was told in my intro to computers class that it isn't illegal to have a pirated copy of Photoshop as long as you aren't using it to make money.

Not that I have a pirated copy or anything because that would be against the law and I'm sweet and innocent and would never do anything that's against the law.

I really like this effect, but I don't celebrate Christmas, I celebrate other holidays that come at the same time of year. I follow some of the old Yule traditions which actually predate the modern Christmas holiday. I would love a banner just like that or even darker blue, with the lyrics of a song or something. Though not "let it snow" that would be too expected, lol. It makes me wish I had Photoshop... but I don't, I have Paintshop Pro.
