Any reason I can't walk down to my local paper shop WITHOUT suddenly seeing a face peering out from the bushes at me as though I'm up to no good?

I watched Buffy, "Surprise" on DVD last night. I like that episode, especially with Spike saying: "I know he's a w***er, but he's the only one we've got with half a brain".

I'm at home on my own right now; every time I hear a door slam upstairs I have to run up and check it was just the wind and not an intruder or anything. I've known myself to check all the wardrobes sometimes - just in case anyone's hiding there. I'm crazy like that.
