That video made me so happy. Everything about it -- John is hella cute with that hairdo and short beard; the seventies bell-bottomed session musicians (or whomever) with their carefully coiffed long hair, Blindfolded Yoko crocheting, the flower decals on the piano, the miniskirted girls languidly go-go dancing in reflection, and the apparently older guy placidly banging the tambourine. Plus of course the song itself. Did you by any chance buy the Darfur fundraising CD, with covers of Lennon songs, Instant Karma? I did, and I really, really like it. I also have some of his albums with Yoko Ono (which period of his career Mark likes a lot), and I do enjoy the politics. Sometimes the music, too.
Glad you liked the video. "Instant Karma" is one of my favorite Lennon solo songs because it has such a strong, positive atheist/secular humanist message: we all have the answer (i.e., our own unique answer) within ourselves. I don't have the Darfur CD, but I'll check it out.
