Room 215, Saturday Morning

Apr 16, 2016 19:17

Face was in a great mood this morning (inasmuch as one could be in any kind of mood when still half asleep). The dance had been fun, he and Cass had both won prom crowns, and she'd stayed over after.

Sighing happily, he snuggled in closer to her.

[For one...then some more.]

Cassandra sighed softly as she began to stir. She was always an early riser, and was only beginning to find some compromise with rights to Face being... not an early riser.

Still, she was hardly in a terrible mood when she opened her eyes and saw his face. She was nice, and warm, and mm, snuggles. She smoothed her fingers gently through his hair, content.

"Twi'lek--"

Cassandra frowned.

She remembered this, didn't she?

"If you want me to get up, you're going to need to pass me my pants," Face informed Antonia. How had they ended up on that side of the room?

"You remember Adra," he said to Cass. "Green skin, pair of lekku, decided everyone needed to see my terrible holos?"

Antonia rolled her eyes, picking up both of their pants and flinging them in the general direction of their faces.

Cassandra frowned. "It does ring a--"

And then her pants smacked her in the face. "Maker! Stop this immediately!"

Face did not laugh, mostly because he was trying to pull his own pants off his head. "She reminds me of someone," he said dryly.

"Don't be absurd," Cassandra growled, shoving her pants on under the blanket.

To be fair, the child was being ridiculous, which could be either her influence or his.

Or both.

It was too late for that, Cassandra, far too late.

"Do you at least have a name, never a Twi'lek?" Face asked as he made himself decent.

Antoina rolled her eyes, but she took a hold of the doorknob and stopped shouting. "Antonia Kettch," she said - using both names was important - and eyed both of them. "You're late."

"We are not late," Cassandra said, reaching down in a desperate attempt to grab... oh, why had she worn such an elaborate dress yesterday? "You are interrupting."

"What are we late for?" Face asked, trying to place the name Kettch, it wasn't Lorrdian or from Pantolomin.

"Getting up," Antonia said flatly. "Early to rise means you're not dumb AND stupid when the angry mob shows up."

That was not remotely how that saying went.

Was that her underdress?

Oh, thank the Maker. (Though curse whoever had come up with these dresses in the first place.) Cassandra yoinked onto her bed.

"And why is there an angry mob?" Hopefully Cass would be too busy getting dressed to blame him.

"Sometimes it's something mom did," Antonia said, looking straight at him. So... diversion successful, as Cass yanked her underdress on under the sheets. "Usually it's because you've irked someone but bad."

It was never her, of course.

Except for when it was.

"Uh-huh." She knew Face was kind of good at picking up on when people weren't being honest with him, right?
