Longshot bounded over to the door from across the apartment. Alison had technically been closer, but she was busy doing something. He didn't know exactly what. Possibly wedding stuff. Which might have been why he wasn't paying too much attention to it.
He had been told to use the peephole a few times. He still hadn't learned that art of readiness as he pulled the door open. He grinned at the visitor.
Sprawled out on the floor amidst a pile of wedding magazines, Alison didn't even bat an eyelid as Longshot literally bounced over her to get to the door. She hadn't wanted to get up anyway. She looked up from the glossy pages and smiled at Star. "Hiya, sweetie. Come inside."
Star nods to both of them and steps in, showing supreme trust and leaving his case with his swords by the door rather than keeping it with him as he picks his way through the chaos.
He also gives Longshot a hug. Stop the press, Star voluntarily hugged his father.
Longshot blinked at being hugged. Well, getting hugs was actually quite normal for him. He got them a lot. Just not from his son. Longshot had an odd little half-smile on his face as he walked away from the door.
