Case File 6 [Locked to the otherworlders, Menaeus and Farix]

Nov 16, 2010 17:23

[After DIVA’s announcement and history lesson, a pained cry echoes around the Hawking’s crew quarters followed by a loud static hiss over the Sphere network. It carries on for several minutes until a broadcast from Motoko (now dressed and armed as a warrior) appears with her sitting alone on a bench, still in the observation area. She does not look ( Read more... )

[when Oliver activates his sphere, his expression is stricken with shock and worry. he is full of questions about what's passed and what Motoko knows, but for him, there is something much more important right now. people have messed with her mind, and ohhhh, Oliver has very strong feelings about that]

Motoko...are you okay?

sorry man, she's in a really bitchy mood ghostin_myshell November 18 2010, 04:11:36 UTC
I found out those I made an enemy of screwed around with my memories, how do you think I am?

[flinches] I...I know.

But you remember now. They haven't...done anything else, have they? Anything physical?

Physical damage isn't always difficult to heal from. Sometimes the worst damage you can do to someone else is mental. Besides, they have much more than my memories to answer for. Who knows what they've done to my men that I've kept in line for nearly--

[The appearance of a six-man group cuts her off. Pure fury lines her face as she hoists the sword over her shoulder. Her challengers look a little uneasy, but seem encouraged that they have her outnumbered. In a matter of minutes, Motoko had taken a few hits but quickly took them all down. Several had run off once their health bars hit nothing, but she cornered the unlucky two left behind. They beg for mercy as they scramble backward pathetically.]

Did any of you show mercy when you decided it was a brilliant idea to gather us up for experimentation? [The reply is terrified silence, to which she raises her sword, even as her opponents start offering her everything in their pockets. The glare she focuses on them is ice cold, pitiless. She wants them dead.]

[Having just gone through a little traumatic memory loss himself, Tieria is not happy.]

They have no right to interfere with a person's memories.

None whatsoever. [She automatically reaches for her gun and checks the ammunition before putting it back. Standing up, she shoulders her massive sword and walks off with her Sphere floating along at her side. Guess who's off to kick some ass?]

You shouldn't go alone.

I don't need a babysitter, I can take care of myself. [The Sphere catches a glimpse of her sword and... is that blood near the end? It might just be.]

[Her ears fold flat as she listens. There are no words for the emotions she feels in that moment, no way to explain save for a sense of loss. This was--she didn't have anything to compare it to.]

[She notices the connection, but doesn't say anything. Not yet, not when there's not really anything to say.]

[Her ears flick forward as she lifts her head to look up at Motoko on her sphere, whining softly.]

What? [Such a cold, steely Major we have here.]

They've messed with your mind?

[given the little Lyle was able to find out about Anew's true situation when they were on the Crucible together, coupled with being BFF with Oliver and also having his mind messed about with by a paranoid Doctor back on the Crucible? Yyyyeah, Lyle does not like this. Not to mention he's still pissed as all hell at the fact that they were all lied to. It's the Crucible plus the worst of the Federation's tactics combined, and he hates it.]

They repressed 190 years worth of my memories with a logic-chip. [Is she pissed off and bitter? You bet your ass she is. Does she want to kill the men she put in the now-locked room (currently right behind her) on Amaterasu's request? Hell yeah.]

Damn it... we're just being lied to all over again. I don't quite get why, though. Is this all because they decided the Gate wasn't gonna be destroyed? [And then something else occurs to him. Two hundred years...?] Come to think of it, you've been here for two hundred years, right? I know you've got a robotic body and all, but you must have got an upgrade or two or something during all that time, right?

That's right. I may still have my old, outdated body, but it's had plenty of internal repairs and upgrades to remain compatible with the current technology. [She holds out one arm where a faint line is still visible, where it had been reattached, further up on the palm of her hand is a slightly faded barcode from her Crucible days.]

[when he does find her, he's carrying a short sword at his side and his clothing is slightly singed around the cuffs (it's taken him a bit to get a hang of the fire powers; ice was easier) and in various places where he's narrowly missed being hit by laser blaster fire. oh yes, and he doesn't look too happy.]

Motoko, I hope you haven't put that sword to any use. No one has to die here, not even for what they foolishly did.

They messed with my head, Doctor. They wouldn't have cared if we had lived or died with their experiment! [She's been through a few scraps already. As she turns, he might see a dark brown stain that was once red still clinging to the metal.]

bit_impossible December 10 2010, 23:25:42 UTC
[snaps; his eyes catching sight of the stains while he speaks] You think I don't know that? But there are those who do care; those who have enough of a head on their shoulders to know what was going on was wrong.

[derisive snort] Those are the smart ones, the ones who have hidden themselves away. They might be trustworthy later, but I didn't ask you here to talk about them.
