I wanted to comment on your last Torchwood post, but I wasn't sure if you were talking about Exit Wounds or Adrift, so I erred on the side of the nonspoilery silence.
Yeah.
I very much disliked Owen through S1 also, and he gradually won me over just in time for his really real death, too. And I kept hoping for Tosh to grow and be as confident in her awesomeness as she had the potential to be, and we kept getting glimpses of that, and then this. Oh, show. Ow.
Aw, I appreciate your efforts to not spoil me! I should have been specific in that post; I try to be careful, but Adrift just totally discombobulated me, I guess.
I kept telling the show to stop making me care about Owen, but it did no good. Dang it.
I watched the last three episodes of the season last night too!!! I was completely shocked. Totally shocked. I had figured out that somebody died but I totally thought it was going to be Ianto.
Tosh was my absolute favorite and I'm just so sad to see her go. She deserved happiness and not to be dumped on all the time. *sniff* I'm kinda glad the zombie!owen storyline is over though. I didn't really think that could last or go anywhere good. But now I'm afraid we'll see him next season as super-radioactive bad-guy man or something. Maybe I'm just paranoid?
Total shock, exactly. Tosh had become my favorite, too, and wow. I'm just so sad to lose her.
I have Radioactive!Owen fears, too. I'm hoping the show isn't that cheesy. It would totally ruin his and Tosh's last conversation if that happened, I think.
I did absolutely love the Space Pig discussion, though. That was awesome.
You know they try extra hard to make you like characters when they're about to kill them off. For the maximum gutting effect! ::headdesk::
I don't know if I had it easier or harder by having liked Owen since the first season. I was pretty much a wreck in the middle of this season, and I didn't think he was going to last long, so the actual end was a little easier, I guess? But Tosh's death really shocked me. They both had so much more potential as characters.
