Thanks, hon. I really wish I'd had time to flesh out that last section (the convo) with something besides the dialogue, but alas (and my own fault really for having accidentally deleted my assignment email so doing this late as it was) it was not to be. And actually, if I think about it, if I *had* worked on it earlier, I probably wouldn't have picked this one. I read at least the first chapter of all of them before deciding, and was leaning toward others until I read this one last and just picked it because it had the obvious possibility of the other person's perspective.

I also would have gone into more detail about the time since the invasion, how they came to be "more intimate", etc. Oh, well. I had fun doing it.

Glad you liked it...even if westerns aren't your thing. ;p

Oh, wow, I'm all flail-y with excitement! This was fantastic! And to think that I almost made this a safe story since I've been working on a prequel and couple of sequels. I'm so glad I didn't or we would have missed out on such a great fic.

It's so fascinating to see how someone else would tell the beginning of the story as opposed to what's been marinating in my brain.
