Uh...wow, that's quite an update.

I'm just as hyped about the return of Revolution and Game of Thrones, and my new CM obsession as you are about SPN, so let's hear it for Good TV! (Is there such a thing????)

Congrats on losing the inches. I think that's just as hard as the actual weight at this point. Keep it up! I have been walking more. I really need new sneakers but for now I can make things work. A little at a time. Just no stopping!

Wish I could do an England trip. Oddly enough we were thinking about a family trip, including the boyfriends, next summer to Pennsylvania and Virginia. Camping and all. I hope you guys have a good time whatever you decide.

One of these days I am gonna check out CM, especially if it comes to Neflix. GoT is on Netflix but it is only on DVD which, somehow, is now too much of a lag and I keep the DVD s for days and day. Isn't that pathetic?

We have been trying to get this trip together for over 20 years and that is not hyperbole.

CM should be on Netflix, at least the early seasons. I've bought s1-5. Don't regret it for a second. As for GOT... well when HBO is ready to stop milking the cow so hard I'm sure it will show up as streaming. Maybe after s3 airs. It premieres 3-31-13. I'm odd but I love those numbers.

My mom was going to take me to England when I was 16. We were going to tour London, see a play etc. Unfortunately, the bottom dropped out of the exchange rate that year and the trip never happened. I've never gotten that close again. I hope you have a wonderful trip this summer!

So have you set the dates for the England Trip? When I was in high school we didn't have senior class trips.

Samsung makes really durable smartphones. I have no protective case and I have dropped mine quite a lot. The back always comes off and the battery goes flying across the floor. I pick it up put it back together and it works everytime. The faceplate doesn't even have a scratch on it.

The dates at the moment are 7/17/13-8/6/13. I'm just waiting for Bede to confirm once and for all that he is up for that time, too. (As no one else will be able to stay the extra days)

My boss just approved me taking a full three weeks as long as I have the time.

I am going to see Colin Morgan in The Tempest and The Globe Theatre!!!

Woot!!!!

I'm glad your body seems to "know" that spring is on the way and it's boosted your energy. Even me, who LOVES winter and wishes we had more of it, has been enjoying the warmer climes and hints of springness-on-the-way we've enjoyed this weekend.

In the battle for good health and weight loss I think it's important to celebrate the victories, no matter how small or slow they seem to come. The 2 pounds may not seem like much, but that 1 and 1/2 inch on the waist? You go girl! :)

Yay for bucket list goals! If you do opt to go for the singing lessons, good luck on finding someone local-ish.

Yes, it is hard to keep up the work when your efforts yield little results. So, gotta concentrate on the positives right, which for me should always be not gaining it back.

I really think I am gonna check into the singing lessons, for sure!

Re: the spring weather and improving moods - I think we are on the same wavelength. More on that in a post to come.

You're welcome for the cookbook! That's the lady I sort of know, so I feel like I'm helping out 2 friends! (And yay for the inches! Maybe I should come with you - my weight is about the same but my waistbands are all tighter!)

Just so you know, Plato's Closet is quickly becoming my favorite place to shop. (What? What? What?.. What? I'm gonna pop some tags. Only got twenty dollars in my pocket....)
I laughed out loud at this!! Wheee! I just watched that video again yesterday, what a coincidence.

Singing lessons - I think they offer them at the Community School of the Arts at APSU, if you cant' find anyone closer. That would be cool!

Yes! It looks like we really are on the same wavelength though I don't think I have been feeling nearly as down as you have.

I laugh out loud every time I see that video or hear that song!

Regarding that cookbook? What is up with her saying that maple syrup and honey is off limits? I realize that you have to limit yourself a bit but I see alot of recipes that call for honey or maple syrup on the Paleo website and in the cookbooks you loaned me. I'm so confused! LOL

ETA: Thanks about the Community School of the Arts directions. I will be checking with them.

Re: Maple syrup and honey
It depends on how you define your Paleo. Melissa has more of a Whole30 philosophy, which includes the idea that you shouldn't "paleo-ify" SAD foods (such as muffins) and Paleo treats are really reserved for like once every 6 weeks. It's a stricter form, some people go with that and others are looser. I wish I could follow the "no sugar in any form" recommendations over the long term. Your taste buds really do change to appreciate natural sweetness in, say, carrots.

P.S. Heard that song again on my way home tonight. It's good to smile and laugh!

Did you call me a loser?
"others are looser"

Just sayin.
Could be true.
(hehehe)

Damn sugar!
Today I had my menu tastings. Texted our dear friend the priest. He seemed to feel sorry for me as I felt like CRAP afterwards! He misread my "confession" about everything I ate. He thought I said I was sick eating nothing (actually said I ate everything).

No sympathy after he knew the truth.

Note to self (and warning to others)...
Do NOT reintroduce pasta, dairy, misc grains, and sugar all at one time.

Back on the case / project/ wagon this evening. Except for that dang alcohol and caffeine!

I did check with a local music store but it seemed to offer it only to children. Cool for you and the piano! I am always amazed at people who can play the piano. So many notes to keep up with!
