I know dana G is going she bought her ticket already in the gold section; I know Kerri aka switch isn't going because she will be in vegas; but I will see her at the SN con in October. Giving that con a shot to see what its like Jared and Jensen are a hoot on stage and meeting up with friends there haven't seen in awhile. Trying to think who else bought tickets.

I have kicked around the idea of a SPN con, but the fandom just scares me so much. I have heard the horror stories from other cons and just don't want to be witness to it, honestly.
I know it's always a few bad apples that ruin it for everyone but they seem to shake from the tress big time around those boys. Stargate Fans seemed a lot more reserved than this rowdy bunch, lol.

Cons have lost a little of their luster for me. I didn't go to Dragon*Con last year. I kind of feel bad about it, but I'm not watching any scifi shows right now. I've moved onto over fandoms.
Cost is a big issue. It seems like you need money just to breathe at a con. *eyeroll*
I haven't been to one since Vancouver in '09. That being said, I don't figure I will attend any more after this one, should I go.
Okay, who am I kidding? lol. No, I doubt I will attend any more Creation ones, unless they have a Fringe one and I don't see that happening. I have wanted to attend Comic Con and Dragon Con. If I find out Joshua Jackson is at either of those, OMG! He's like a shiny new toy for me to drool over. :D My latest obsession of sorts. ;)
Because this won't be your first one, I would say go for the family vacation. Take the con off your mind and have a good time with the people you love, there's always going to be another con some other time.
That's very true. I know I want to do the family vacation, period. I just don't know if I want to try and squeeze a con in there too. It's just the sheer cost of it all.
I can tell myself all day long that I can make the money up and save but yeah, we all know how well that sort of thing works out!
omg, if I had the fundage I'd totally would go! GUH all those ppl in one place. The only way it'd be even more perfect were if RDA and Michael Shanks were gonna be there too!
Despite the fact that Flanigan and Hewlett on a stage together is an awesome experience (at least from the vids I've seen from past cons), I have to say go for the family vacation.
While it's nice of Craig to be all encouraging about you going, the family vacation would be the better choice. It gives Carter something fun to keep in mind as his dad leaves, and that's always a good thing. And, there's more chances in the future for you to attend a con than there is to have a family vacation with Carter at this age. Yes, you'll have family vacations, but he'll be older. Grab it while you can.
Yeah, I definately want to go on the family vacation, that's no doubt. I just don't know if I want to do that AND the con. That's a lot of money. Plus if Craig just deployed, I don't want to leave Carter at that time, even if it is just a weekend. :-/
