I'll have to say I can tolerate Sam/Jack on some days but mostly I don't like the way Sam acts around Jack.
Ya know, that's one of the best reasons I've heard not to like Sam/Jack. Now, you know I'm a diehard Sam/Jack 'shipper, and I have my own reasons for liking the dynamic and being okay with it, but I can also see it as a very legitimate reason for disliking the pairing.
To be honest, I rarely write "established" or RST Sam/Jack from any of the earlier seasons for very much this reason. I find Sam/Jack its absolute sexiest when you take the woman Sam became, for example, the woman in "The Road Not Taken" -- powerful, beautiful, confident, brilliant -- and then put her together with Jack O'Neill at a time in her life when she can hold onto that woman when she's with him.
Personally, I enjoy all the stages of them getting to that place, but I do prefer that they get all the way to that place with her character.
