Oh, wow. That's just...wow. I'm kind of speechless at the moment. I'm not surprised that they didn't reply to your first email (they have a long history of ignoring almost everything that they're alerted about), but for someone to actually reply to your second email? I am amazed. It looks like someone down there realized that they'd fucked up.

I'd probably have no issue with that happening to me--especially since it'd be an honest mistake--as long as they had some sort of warning system in place instead of twitchy trigger fingers.

Also, the thing with the Pit and mature content is weird, because they've always wanted light smut in the mature section, but anything heavier than that goes over to AFF? Do they know how difficult it is to tell between light smut and heavy smut a lot of the time? Obviously there's a clear differentiation between the two on the far ends of the spectrum, but there's a lot out there that isn't that clear cut. I don't see the point of AFF, especially because I've seen fics from FF.Net crossposted to AFF with ( ... )

That's what I figured, I think the reinstating only happened because the internet basically imploded in outrage.

Don't even get me started on the prudish ratings. I just can't. Too silly.

I am glad everything worked out in the end, but damn. Insanity. As of today, thanks to an invite to from Boshums, I am backing everything up at A03.

But still...SHEESH.

What a mess! When I read which one they deleted, I had a moment of panic cause damn I love that story!!! O_O I'm really glad that it worked out in the end but sweet zombie Godric, what the hell is wrong with FF.Net?!

I bet you're right - they ARE neon pink fluffballs. I have the mental image in my head and it's kinda epic! If I had artistic ability at all, I'd draw it.
