I saw this on or_mabinogi's journal and I just had to share. The video is about twenty-two minutes long, but it's worth it. This is closely based on Baum's story of Nick Chopper (my only nitpick is that Dorothy wore silver shoes instead of red, but yeah, minor nitpick

That was my only issue as well.
Now I kinda want this guy to do his own Oz movie.

I know they (Hollywood) want to do a back story movie about the Wizard, but after seeing this, I want a Nick Chopper back story!

What made me giggle is the fact that Nimmee Amee in this is from a wealthy family and her mother hates Nick. It nearly mirrors my Adora (her father hates Wyatt instead). Well, Adora's mother did too, but Garrett and his southern charm changed that. :p

I'm guessing that maybe the red shoes were a nod to the '39 movie. The red shoes do show up better on film, but I let out a squee when I saw Dorothy wearing silver shoes in Tin Man. :)

At least they got the style right, they did have bows according to some of the drawings.

But, yeah, other than that, the overall film is just gorgeous. The end made me wibble. *two thumbs way UP*

At the end, I actually thought of Wyatt, trapped in the iron suit, and singing a song that was special to him and Adora...oooh...I'm going to add that in Road to Nowhere.
