YAY on both awards and fuel refund.

I hear ya on the heating/cooling thing. The high school I attended was built using a California building plan and it was always freezing especially in the winter but nice and cool once the hot weather hit. One of my teachers was telling us one day that we were lucky that the building had been renovated in the 70's cos before that people literally wore coats and gloves to class. While it wasn't quite that bad, still had to bundle up and some of us would sit on the radiators and burn our behinds trying to get warm.

Thank you! Bet FPL is kicking themselves for giving the fuel refund at this time. They could have made a killing with people using the A/C to heat their homes.

During the freeze, some schools had to shut down because they just couldn't heat the classrooms. Not only are our homes not built for this, but we don't have the clothing for it either. The kids were freezing and parents were coming and taking them out of school.

That was a bad idea to have a California building plan for a school in Mass. Epic!fail there.
