Hubby picked son up from work at 3 hell o' clock this morning. Poor kid is working closing until Christmas. And he's working Christmas Eve. I'm not surprised actually, but he was upset about it. I told him welcome to retail during the holidays.

Didn't finish the tree yesterday, I will need to do that today while watching Tin Man on SkiffyThe Fins ( Read more... )

tv: csi, kids, jobs, tv: tin man, scifi channel

I think I may have to pop Tin Man into the laptop.

I feel sorry for your son. I worked in a Wal-Mart electronics department during the holidays in 2003. Tell him to cherish every easy, polite customer because they make up for the $#@%^!'s that make up the other 90% of the shoppers.

We were doing the MST3K thing when it first started.

I worked retail too and I hated it during the holidays. The assistant store manager actually thanked Chris for staying so late and being available to them. He even hinted that his effort could lead to a full time job after the holidays.

We told him to hang in there and that it looks good for him, but did he listen to mom and dad? NOOOOOO! Teenagers!

That was my employee number at an office I worked at. ;)

Being a dental assistant that was rather appropriate...

Dental assistants and hygienists have a saying (in the form of the 'hairstylists do it with style'line) - 'Dental Assistants/Hygienists do it orally'. ;)

"I will never love another woman like I did Adora."
"That's a shame. Won't you be lonely?"
"...I said woman."
"...yeah, and?"
"*headdesk*"

EDIT 5: Leaves a token on her grave, kisses her grave marker, sheds tears, shuts himself away from the rest of the group at the stream and I'm supposed to believe he just gets over her so he can jump the bones of the next girl that comes into his life?! My ass. Spent how many annuals thinking they were dead already? :/ Not trying to dismiss the pain of the actual reveal, but it is a factor.

And I don't want him to be sad forever and I can't write slash. :p

I'm not saying that he'll never love again, what I'm saying is with all his issues, he won't fall in love anytime soon. His main focus will be on rebuilding his relationship with Jeb. Love will come, eventually, if he wants it.

As a married person, I can say this you never get over the loss of a loved one, you get through it.

I do have him getting married again, just not to DG.

*Shrug* He's hugging people of his own volition by the end. I'm not saying that there won't be anniversary days he wonders off alone for, but when people say "Cain's issues" they sound like that they're hiding the straight-jacket behind their backs and he's not that bad.

There's stuff to work out with Jeb, but I never seen Jeb as a character who would fight getting reconnected with his father (once they get Zero dealt with).

*Snort* I'm stopping now. *Shakes head* I just realized I've spent less time justify human and mutant turtle relationships. Man, I want a distraction from these bills.

When I say issues, I mean PTSD. I really don't think Cain would walk out of the torture he endured without having problems. Having PTSD doesn't mean a candidate for straight-jacket and I don't think having issues means that. He'd suffer from PTSD just like any soldier would coming home from battle or 'imprisonment'. Glitch did mention Cain being afraid of the dark, but that was on the DVD. Whether he was sincere or just making a joke, I don't know. But on the other hand, I don't think Glitch would joke about it. My uncle hugged us, but he suffered from PTSD. Hugging people doesn't mean that all is well on the inside. Over time, Cain would get better, but overnight like some fanfic writers would like me to believe...not so much ( ... )
