Everything in this pic is wonderful! * I love the small detail of the lilacs - I probably wouldn't even have noticed if I didn't read the story but now my eye keeps catching on the little splash of color. * Ever bit of the boys is perfect - 'nuf said. * The background and the shallow hole with the bones are all amazing. The contrast of the darkness of that spot and the daylight in the further background is a great touch. * The little girls - again, the contrast of colors with their dresses and their hair are stunning - barefoot and sullen, are creepy without being over-the-top horror movie creepy. Best is the looks on their faces. The one looking at Dean has an angry, slightly disgusted expression while the one looking at Sam seems a little more worried about what's going to happen. I love that they have real and differing personalities! You know, like REAL children.
Is there more art somewhere? Is there a long version of the story? Where can I find it? Thanks!
*flails* Wow, thank you so much!!!! I don't even know what to say! ♥♥♥ Unfortunately, there is only this picture and I made up this short story real quick so there's somewhat of a background for the pic. I am afraid there's nothing more.
CREE-PEE! and i mean that in the best possible way. :D i love the horrified looks on the boys' faces, and that dean's lighter is already lit and ready to burn some bones. also? the bright purple flowers are kinda shocking, as the rest of the picture has such a muted green-brown palette. you just know without having to read the ficlet that they point to nothing good.
Haha thank you so much!!! I am happy it comes across. At first I wanted to leave them out because they looked incredibly out of place. That's one reason I wrote the ficlet, to emphasize that there's a reason they're there. Anyway, thanks so much again *hugs*
