So, the news tab on my iGoogle page is full of information about stocks tanking all over the place. I'm sure my retirement account is continuing on it's downward spiral. However, this time, I've been successfully heeding wildcelticrose's recommendation and I have not looked. Perhaps by November a bit of confidence will be restored to the economy, and the market

I figure, if things continue to go from bad to worse, and you and I get screwed, then the whole country is screwed. Maybe we'll be "forced" into communal living or something similar in order to get by. I'm trying to convert to living out of my pantry and buying ahead on sale items, even basic clothing items.

I've been working on simplifying my day to day living as much as possible. Making stuff last longer, buying better, but fewer things. I figured it was worthwhile doing before things started going south at the 1st of the year.

I am certain it will all turn around. I'm just not so sure how long it will take to turn around. (And I may be working a bit longer than I expected.)

If I was able to stay with you all, at least I'd have someone to play Settlers with. ;)
