Soup!

Becky made vegetable beef soup and it is delicious! If you want some, come and get it before I eat it all.

Okay, I can't eat it all because she made a huge pot of soup.

The kids are cheering, so I think that means we'll be over!

Hey, kiddo! [picks up Charlie and sets him on his lap] Being a good boy today?

[returns El kiss] Oh, you're welcome. [smiles] Thank you. Where's Dree? Is she working?

[elari_brooks]

Yep. She had a few things to catch up with since she was gone, so I stayed home today with the kids.

[nods vigorously] Yes! [looks at El for confirmation]

[smiles as she walks past, ruffling his hair] Yes, he's been good. You want some soup, Charlie?

[he nods yes and reaches]

[smiles; says to El] Do you want me to cut up the vegetables and beef into smaller pieces for him?

[elari_brooks]

[nods and smiles] Yes, thank you. I'll get his juice.

[moves to the cabinet and gets a sippy cup out of the cabinet to pour him some papay juice.]

Okay. [uses the ladle to scoop some soup out of the pot, but makes sure not to get too much of the broth. She pours it into a small bowl and then starts to cut the bits of vegetables and beef into smaller pieces. She places the bowl in front of Charlie, who is still sitting on Wyatt's lap.] Here you go.

[Wyatt nods] I'll watch him.

[elari_brooks]

[looks up at his Mama Becky] Snks! [reaches for the bowl]

[El sets the juice cup down in front of him and hands him the small spoon] Use this sweetie. Soup is hot.

[moves to the stove and ladles herself out some soup and gets a glass of water. Goes to the table and sits next to Leora] Yummy!
