Garret spent the flight back to Boston wondering how it was going to feel being home. He felt he’d just left in some ways, in others; it seemed he’d been gone for years. Jordan waved from her spot on the wall near the escalators to baggage claim.

"Hey you," she said. "Welcome home."

"If you love me take me the nearest grinder shop, I'm starving."

Jordan made a face but shrugged. "As long as you don't make me eat," she said. "I've never been able to get past the name."

"I'll buy you a burger and an order of cheesefries." Garret slid an arm around her. "Let's go get my bag and get the hell out of here."

Now that he was home, he was beginning to feel he could handle this, there was only one thing left to do. He pulled out his cell phone as they left the terminal and dialed the local AA office to find out the meeting schedule. When he got off the phone he smiled at Jordan, slightly embarrassed.

"Thirty meetings in thirty days." He said to explain.
