Garret sat going over the last of the paperwork for the day and wondering where he was going to eat dinner. He looked up at the sound of Lily's voice in the hall and saw her talking to Howard. Howard walked in with hardly a knock on the door, taking the seat across from the chief ME. "And how are you today? You don't look like you're all bright and sunshiny and perky today. What happened? Wake to find that all you had left was decaf?"

"Howard, it's been a long day and I was just finishing up and getting ready to go to dinner." Garret leveled a look at him. "I know it's not time for a review and your post incident fitness reports have already crossed my desk for everyone else so I can only assume mine has been completed as well. So if this is a social call, let's finish it over dinner, if not see Emmy to set up a time in my schedule tomorrow."

"Dinner works. you know there is this great new chineese place that opened up about two blocks from here, amazing food, and one of the women that works there has to be the most perfect person I have ever seen-" He trailed off. It would be a lot easier to pry what he wanted to know out of Garret once he was plying the other man with food. Granted, it was more difficult since he didn't have the aid of booze, but he thought himself able to rise up to the challenge.

Garret had hoped he already had plans and would go away, but Howard was famous for his persistence. "This is about Amsterdam isn't it?"

Funny, I can't see you being a Young Ones fan...

You really should try Coupling though. Any show that has a guy that swallows the key to handcuffs while she's handcuffed to the bed, has rants about sofa cushions and the giggle loop is good.
