Very interesting and engaging to read, with all those Victorian details (interesting thoughts, too, about the mourning veil and such) and flawless characterization. I particularly liked how Watson greeted the wrong Sigerson at first - that was unexpected - and the mixture of joy and tension during that restaurant scene.

And, yay! Nice long canon fic! ;)

Thank you, it's lovely to hear it! Especially as regards the restaurant scene - I wasn't too sure whether I'd got the balance right. And I did spend a lot of time reading about Victorian mourning customs ;) Rather fascinating, actually...
