Holmes review: Russian Sherlock Holmes (2013)

So, there's a new Victorian-era Holmes adaptation showing on Russian TV at the moment. I've been curious about this since I first heard about it a couple of years ago... Finally got to watch the first episode this afternoon

I would not like to anticipate your impression (new episodes will be shown at next week), but Russian viewers criticize the new seres.

They do? I had heard something like that. Interesting to have it confirmed! Especially because of course Russian viewers understand what they see, unlike me, and are better placed to judge :) I wonder if it mostly because of comparisons to Maslennikov's films.

Nope, it's not because of Maslennikov, at least in my case. It's because the new show is quite bad, sadly.
