I'm so glad you like the picture! I had a lot of fun drawing it. ^_^ I hope you had an awesome birthday, too.

The Pacific is very good-- not as good as BoB, but I am enjoying it immensely. It's taken me a little while longer to get attached to some of the characters, but I will definitely admit I've cried now on more than one occassion. There's more coverage of the homefront, and less homoeroticism (though it's still there! ^_~), and I actually think it's a little more graphic. I'm withholding final judgement until I see how they handle the portrayal of Japan's surrender. They've done a good job portraying the psychology of young Japanese soldiers who've grown up under the totalitarian Cult of the Empire, so I'm hopeful it can be done with the same deft touch.

You know, I can always mail the DVDs to you when I'm finished, if you're looking to borrow them. *grins* Though, knowing the internet, I'm sure someone has pirated downloads somewhere. Oh, internet, you are simultainiously soothing and depressing in your predictability. *grins
