Dang, talk about being totally incommunicado. ^_^;;; I think I may actually have ceased to exist for a few days in early November. (I wish I was joking. *winces

I, too, am still alive and finally posting again after a chaotic couple of months - with more chaos to come. When one thing goes wrong, it seems everything else follows and the migraines are NOT helping. The stress has made them worse/more frequent. One new Nosy-fic up, 3 more being planned if I can find time to write them *crosses fingers* I think I'm still two chapters behind in reading In Amnion - my head just hurts too much to be able to really enjoy reading it, I refuse to just skim, I like to immerse myself. I'll get there eventually, promise!
You suffer from migraines, too? Oh, my dear, I have more sympathy than you know. Mine are hideous-- people who think migraines can be equated with headaches have simply never suffered from the former. *hugs* I'm sorry yours are acting up! This is definitely a time of year that has extra stress to pass around... but do try to take care of yourself.
Good luck with your fics! I'll keep my eye out for them! You know I'm pleased to hear from you whenever you have the time. -Meredith
Stress is piling on stress with gay abandon, writing is on hold and all thought of Christmas is abandoned.
We had a burst pipe in the loft which poured water through my bedroom ceiling. I spend most of my time in my room as mum (who I live with) has the TV blaring 14 hours a day continuously and I just can't stand it. Now I'm having to sleep on the living room floor, though there's barely enough room (very small house and tiny rooms when furnished) I can't go to bed until mum does and I've had a migraine the past 2 days. I've still had to clear stuff from my room, deal with insurance people tramping through and keep the fire going so we still have a bit of heat, and now we're promised more sub-zero temperatures starting tomorrow and possibly continuing into the new year. This is my worst Christmas ever - I just hope all my friends are having a better time!
*hugs tightly* I'm so sorry about your migraine, and your sleeping situation. Sometimes finally being able to fall asleep is the only thing that kills the pain for a little while, I'm dreadfully sorry you can't seem to get that. I hope the insurance people clear out soon, and that your heat holds out until you can get everything situated. Hang in there.
Here's hoping you can get some unexpected holiday cheer, even if it's only a little relief for your head. Take it easy, Meredith
Just read through all 13 parts and am enjoying it very much; I hope you're able to return to this someday. BTW, I'm pretty sure it's "Proxima" Centauri, not "Poxima" :-)

So here's a toast. *raises glass* To the wacky, off-kilter third rock from the sun.
