*grins widely* It's ridiculously good to hear that, since I'm unreasonably paranoid. I can't thank you enough for your kind comment. I'm relieved that Jack's mental state makes sense to people. CoE was such a horrible ordeal-- I think even an immortal would have horrible scars.

Oh frabjous day! Calloo Callay! :-) Well done! Imma glad to see your story updated! Yep, yep, yep! Out of all of the beauty this chapter holds, I'm quite partial to your (Jack's) description of Ianto. First of all, it's fascinating to get an idea of what Jack saw in him that was so attractive. Second of all, it's just beautiful to read about Ianto. He is as you describe him. Particularly that marvelous image that I can only describe as a diabolical angel. A fundamentally good soul -- capable of harbouring the truly terrible.

I'm still a bit (okay, more than a bit) worried about whether or not our Jack is going to get what he bargained for.

*giggles* I'm so pleased I made you pleased! After our discussion about Jack and Ianto, I was actually more nervous about writing Jack's internal thoughts, but it eventually flowed. I'm just crazy about things being in-character. But I truly believe that Jack was fascinated by Ianto in many ways-- after all, this is the young archivist who conned the con-man! That takes genius and skill. The motives behind the deception were at once truly good and terribly misguided. I like your term, 'diabolical angel'. That suits Ianto to a 't'.

So, I'm rereading in anticipation of tomorrow's installment (right?) and I get to the actual reason Ianto wanted to use the stopwatch and, well, I'd like to congratulate you on being the first and only (as far as I know) person to solve the stopwatch conundrum: What exactly did Ianto have in mind that only took Jack a second or two to cotton on to? AHA! Now we know. God love 'em both.
