AUTHOR'S NOTES: As always, I have to thank you for taking the time to read my story! I really appreciate everyone who took the time to comment on the last chapter-- I was worried I was straying to far into strange realms, but I shouldn't have worried. This is Torchwood, after all. We have ptredons, cannibals, and cyberwomen in silver bikinis, to ( Read more... )

Thank you so much! I will absolutely have more for you, just as soon as I stop laughing hysterically at your icon. That's just too good! ^__^

This is all kinds of delightfully disturbing. I was a little iffy about the first chapter, but this one has me begging for more :)

"Delightfully Disturbing!" *blushes* That needs to be an icon-- preferrably with zombie!Tosh, or something. ^^;

Sorry about that first chapter-- this thing wants to be a novel, and I keep trying to poke it to make it move faster. Hopefully now that the background is in place, we can get to the good stuff! I'm so glad you enjoyed this part.

Grim and powerful, Jack's grief and despair radiate off the screen. This is the utterly broken Jack we never really saw, holding on to the faintest sliver of hope to keep from completely losing his mind. Not an easy read, but definitely worth it. The implications of Jack's sacrifice for Ianto.... I really hope Ianto doesn't come to hate him, but it'll be a difficult burden for both of them to bear if the ritual works. Can't wait for the next part!

Thank you so much for saying this! I was worried it wasn't coming across well, or that Jack seemed OC.

Especially after reset, I'm convinced Jack has a point at which he'll loose someone so important he no longer sees a reason for playing by the rules. He may be immortal, but he's human. He's not a Timelord-- he's not *built* for this endless living. As soon as I saw him begging Ianto to stay in COE, I thought of this.

The implications of Jack's sacrifice for Ianto....
I do promise a happy ending, since I'm a hopeless romantic. It's just I'm also bitter and sadistic, it may have shades of gray. I'm so glad people are enjoying reading this as much as I'm enjoying writing it!

Thanks again for commenting!
