Zombies, Homicide, and White Collar Crime

I haven't seen it, no. Woody Harrelson sets me on edge for no reason I can identify, and my mom said that it wasn't very good. I'm sure I'll see it eventually, though. :)

I don't blame you re Woody Harrelson, but it was Abigail Breslin and the skinny teenage boy character that really made the film for me. The skinny boy is the narrator, and some of his zombie survival rules are just priceless. Breslin's character is also neat, just the right mix of sweetness and attitude. I did have a couple complaints (the movie got off track for about twenty minutes, and there weren't large groups of zombies except for at the end), but the black humor more than made up for it.

It's not a serious zombie film (as serious as zombie films get, anyway), but it was made by someone with understanding and appreciation of the sub-genre.

Apple.com has the trailer for a remake of George Romero's The Crazies, which looks like it could go either way in terms of quailty. I did like the Dawn of the Dead remake (better than the original, actually), and I enjoyed Land of the Dead.
