Ugh ugh ugh, I hate people who f-lock their journals.

I should correct that statement immediately. I hate people who post fic/mixes/whatever to communities, but then reroute the link to their journal...which they've f-locked. Usually, with fic, I'm just like, whatever- I'm too shy to go up to anyone and say, hey, let's be besties just so I can read ( Read more... )

fanmix junkie, fic: i read it, smarter than your average bear

I completely understand :(

It's really frustrating and kind of feels like a cocktease when you find one in a community and then can't read it because it's f-locked.

I understand the reason to f-lock, but it doesn't make it suck any less!

Ugh, I know it's so dumb. If you think you're so special that people have to request to view your entries...probably don't link to that journal? Or keep your real life completely separate from fandom? That's what I do. My journal is not for fic. Simple. If I wanted to, I would make a fic journal.

Also: What is the 'friends only' option on entries for if not exactly this?

I don't know. People baffle me.

:(......Sorry.

I do that, but it was a last minute decision awhile back to lock everything because of who could see it. I'm thinking about reposting to communities and locking them there so everyone can read them.

Nonono, bb! You're one of those really good authors I mentioned. :) This was in no way against you, although yeah, I do support posting locked entries in communities? Idek, you're on my f-list so I can reeeeead 'cause you're awesome. You're one of those too-awesome writers that I overcame my shyness to friend.

I do understand locking everything, esp. now when jobs and family and anyone can look you up (that's why pretty much everything I do online other than facebook is under a penname). So yeah, you have absolutely nothing to be sorry for!

And I hate your face. Just thought that would add to the discussion a bit :)
