One hundred and forty-one tombstones, two cemeteries and four hours outside leave me with sunburn to my face and arms. Oh the joy. And tomorrow it's supposed to be warm and I'll be outside at the Cape May Zoo. That will be another round of sunburn. Joy ( Read more... )

The following is an inscription on a gravestone near Danny's home. I think it's pretty cool...

Anne Brereton
Died June 14th 1883, aged 20 years

"Ye passengers who now pass by,
as you are now, so once was I.
As I am now, you soon must be,
prepare for death and follow me."

Also, buy some sun block, lady!

That is an interesting inscription. Much better then the ones I've seen. All I come across are "Good man", "Asleep in Jesus" x too many, "Gone but not forgotten" and "Our darling", "Not our will but thine be done", and "A little time on earth she spent, til god for her his angel sent".

I'll have to invest in some sun block. I don't care to resemble a certain member of the seafood family once it has been cooked. Luckily the redness is fading away and doesn't hurt. But I have the makings of a lovely farmer's tan going on.
