[Video/Action] Lucifer's class

[Lucifer stands at the front of the room, facing his students. He's impeccably dressed, as he nearly always is, in perfectly tailored designer clothing. His expression as he looks them over is bored, with a hint of disdain, and he gives the camera the same look before he begins to speak.]

After some consideration, I have decided an attempt to alleviate the lamentable ignorance on this ship may offer some mild amusement. I'm too familiar with students to expect that most of you will learn much, but perhaps a few of you may absorb some new ideas.

I have given my choice of curriculum much thought and decided that the best place to begin is with the subject of philosophy. Perhaps learning a bit about how to think shall lead you to some revelations of your own.

I'm afraid we have limited time and quite a lot to cover, so you'll need to pay attention. We shall begin with Descartes, who had both some brilliant insights and some truly stupid ideas, then proceed onto Kant. Then we shall have a few readings that are not strictly philosophy, and after that we shall see what time remains. At the end of the course I will expect an essay, but more on that when the time comes.

I'm well aware that, particularly given the usual state of education here, many of you may not truly understand the material, but I expect you to at least pay attention.
