Pokémon event: END
[The intercom switches on, and there is the sound of a throat being cleared before the usual squeaky voice begins speaking:]
Well. That was degrading. Normality has been restored, nobody panic, etcetera etcetera.
Greetings, residents of the S.S. Thor! This is your captain speaking! Just a little announcement for you this time, barely of any consequence at all, really, but as your captain I feel it's something you, the people, ought to know.
It seems there's been a minor engine malfunction. Apparently fifty or so --
[he's interrupted by a second voice, this one muttering quietly so as not to be picked up by the microphone]
--A hundred?
[Another mutter]
--A hundred and fifty!?
[A small noise of confirmation]
Apparently a hundred and fifty largish birds have been sucked into the ship's engine. Due to this unanticipated and highly improbable nuisance, we're stuck for the moment, and won't be arriving at our destination as planned.
On the bright side, we've suddenly got quite a few openings for engine maintenance, if anyone is looking for work this month!

That's all she wrote, folks! The event is over, all Pokemon-ified refugees and NPCs have been restored to their former shapes and powers (or lack thereof!), and the only thing to remind you of this magical time are the videos you posted and the incriminating photographs your friends took. It sure is good to have thumbs again, huh? As always, if there was something you wanted to do but weren't quite able to, or were right in the middle of an awesome thread, backdating is totally encouraged.
So, as the captain has said, due to engine troubles we're not going to be visiting a planet this month! This is a great time to kick back, relax, and find some new crawl-spaces and hang-outs on the Thor.
×) And while we've got your attention, we'd like to make sure everyone's had a chance to look over the Activity Check post. The post cut-off says May 5th, but if you missed it for some reason (We know how fast new posts get shoved off the front page on the ooc com!), you can still reply there with your April activity through this Sunday, the 9th. If your character was accepted during the last application round of April (That being the weekend of the 24th and 25th), this doesn't apply to them! Additionally, if your character was accepted in May, they're not expected to have met April activity requirements. We'll be expecting everyone's posts at the end of the month during the May activity check, though, so don't slack off! 8)
×) Additionally, we're nearing the end of the window for Room Upgrades and Pay Raises! If your character has been working through most of or the entire month of April, then they might be eligible for a pay raise! Please click the link for more details.
×) We're sure you've noticed by now, but to make sure everyone who wants to participate has seen, we've got a current HMD Post up and ready to go! Participation is highly encouraged but NOT mandatory. It's simply there to provide anyone who wishes with an opportunity to give and receive feedback on how they're doing!
