[Afternoon, Thor! Here's a kid you're used to seeing with a scowl on his face by now, and there it is again. He looks pale, wide-eyed, and he's soaking wet. Judging by the way the feed keeps bobbing up and down, chances are pretty good he's on a boat. And he's not too thrilled about it.]Hey, uh, Naoto? Not to call you out in public, but since we ( Read more... )

Are you going to keep yelling, or actually do your job?

[Squawk! That...that is not a very reassuring face.]

FIVE FEET! FIVE FEET!

[He pulls out a paintbrush that sparks with lightning, but decides against using it just yet.]

Still insisting that... You can't do much cowering over there.

[Oh, man. Lightning magic? DAMN IT. Now his eyes have focused in on that brush instead.]

I think I can pull this basket up -hic- alone. It's probably not that heavy...

[And he's spinning it in his hand like that pen trick people can do. He pulls one of the traps off the other side.]

Don't trip, you can't blame my foot or tail this time.

I wasn't going to trip!

[But he's still pretty wobbley on his feet when he gets up. Stupid choppy weather.]

[Ironically, he'll break the 5ft rule not to injure Yosuke, but to try being nice and hold him by the shoulders.]

Won't let you.

[He tenses up, stiff like a board, but when he realizes this isn't going to end in another heave-ho over the rails he groans quietly and holds onto the side of the ship. Yeah, that two days off didn't do him much good at all.]

Hey, don't...it's fine, okay?

[Yep, you've got him blushing already.]

I'm not a girl, dude. Jeez.

Hmph, gender has little to do with balance.

[He takes the basket off of his hands and stacks it with the rest.]

Did you take some medication?

Girls have a lower center of gravity. Uh, so their balance is actually -hic- better. At least, according to the PE teacher that's true.

[He scowls at the horizon for a minute before answering.]

I tried, but...never mind. Anyway, that won't work. Maybe if I call someone they'll bring me some ginger and umeboshi.

[Which he grins weakly at because okay, that last one is probably just a wives tale. But he's willing to give it a shot at this point.]

...That gives you more reason for fall. Thus more for me to catch you. You're male from what I see.

Of course I'm male!

And would prefer it if someone like my sister to catch you, then?

Woah, woah, woah.

[He waves one arm in that 'stop, stop!' kind of motion even while he keeps hold of the railing with the other. Man, who knew the sea had big swells like this? It always looks so much nicer in movies.]

I'm definitely not answering that!
