Many planets were destroyed by illogical (and stupid) reasons. Some because of a big red button that said "don't push", or because someone had gases. [it's true |: ]

They don't. There are quite a lot important forms among the useless ones. The problem however, is that some of these important forms are only released if you fill the useless ones.
